The mobile application eID Scan enables users to read the chip embedded in the Republic of Latvia's electronic identification card (eID card) through NFC technology. This tool provides a secure and straightforward method for verifying one’s e-Identity and electronically signing documents. Functioning as a mobile card reader, eID Scan eliminates the necessity of preparing a computer or purchasing additional hardware for eID card interactions. Presently, the application supports signing the eParaksts mobile contract.
